July 4th Macro Friendly Donuts

Donut Ingredients

  • 8g Zero Calorie Sugar sweetener
  • 15g Coconut Flour
  • 15g Vanilla or Plain WPI
  • 15g All Purpose Flour
  • 75g Fat Free Greek Yoghurt
  • 100ml Unsweetened Apple Sauce
  • 5g Baking Powder
  • 1x whole egg
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)

Donut Icing Ingredients

  • 20g Natural Unflavored WPI (or vanilla)
  • 45g Fat Free Greek Yoghurt
  • 4g zero calorie sweetener of your choice
  • 5g Jell-O Sugar Free Instant Cheesecake Flavored Pudding
  • Cold water as needed (for icing consistency)
  • 8g Sprinkles
  • Food Die (red, blue)

Instructions for Donuts

Step 1

Preheat over to 380 F

Step 2

Grease a 6 donut whole donut tray with cooking oil. Don’t be stingy or they will stick!

Step 3

Combine all ingredients in a medium size mixing bowl.

Step 4

Evenly spread ingredients into 4 donut spaces (please note this ONLY makes 4 so if you need more double or triple the quantity).

Step 5

Bake for 12 mins. I checked at 10 to make sure they weren’t burning and they needed 2 more mins.

Step 6

Remove and allow to completely cool before adding the icing or it will slide right off due to the heat.

Instructions for Icing

Step 1

Mix together all the ingredients until well combined.

Step 2

Divide the mixture evenly into 3 small bowls. Add red and blue food coloring leaving one without color to make the white.

Step 3

Spoon icing mixture into small individual zip lock bags and do up. Next, cut a very small corner off the zip lock bag for the thin piping decoration.
